Unveiling of MONTRÉALCYCLECHIC.COM >> by Vélo Québec Montreal, Wednesday, May 25, 2011 – At the initiative of Vélo Québec, Montreal is joining the international Cycle Chic™ movement, an original idea of Dane Mikael Colville-Andersen, creator of the famous Copenhagen Cycle Chic and Copenhagenize blogs. The Montréal Cycle Chic blog will be unveiled in his presence at a "5 à 7", Thursday, June 2 at Bar Waverly, in the heart of the Mile-End district. The entire Montreal cycling community is invited to this event! Created in 2007 by Mikael Colville-Andersen, the Cycle Chic™ photo blog has rapidly become a benchmark where cities and cyclists embrace elegance, and daily cycling is a way of life. Now an international movement, since about forty cities worldwide have their own Cycle Chic™, the blog is an undeniable force in the promotion of urban biking… where cyclists are major players in improving the quality of city life. A group of Montreal photobloggers, led by Mikael Colville-Andersen, has been formed to promote a different perspective of the Montreal cycling community: the urban cyclist – beautiful and chic! This presentation is presented by Vélo Québec, in cooperation with the Danish Embassy.
