Partage la route

The Summer Challenges are an exciting series of non-timed excursions where you get to decide how far you cycle: 50, 75, 100, 125 or 150 km? How many climbs and descents? At a brisk or gentle pace? Challenge yourself as much as you want, depending on your level of fitness or energy, or your mood on the day of the event!

Metropolitan Challenge

Sunday, May 28 • Start/finish: Belœil

The Metropolitan Challenge officially kicks off the Go Bike Montréal Festival and the bike touring season. This year’s event starts in Beloeil and unfolds mainly in the Boisé du Fer-à-cheval. You will bike down to the shoreline in Verchères and follow the Richelieu River along several kilometres of gently undulating road through a lovely region that is the birthplace of such prominent Québec figures as Madeleine de Verchères, Ludger Duvernay and Calixa Lavallée. An excursion not to be missed – just outside Montréal.

Défi de la Mauricie

Mauricie Challenge

Saturday, June 17 • Start/finish: Trois-Rivières

Leaving from the Cap-de-la-Madeleine sector of Trois-Rivières, this second summer challenge mainly follows the Chemin du Roy, providing breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence as you pedal through the 17th century municipalities of Champlain, Batiscan and Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade. The route then moves away from the shore and becomes hillier, as it veers inland towards Saint-Stanislas and Saint-Séverin. Just the right balance of exertion and contemplation.
